Dr. Jose A. Da Costa

Dr. Da Costa received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991, from the University of Toronto.  He owned and practised as a General Dentist in downtown Toronto from 1992 to 2006.  In 2007 he completed a three-year endodontic graduate residence program at the University of Toronto, receiving a Masters of Science in Endodontics, and a fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as a certified specialist in Endodontics.

From 1991 to 2012. Dr. Da Costa was a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Toronto in the departments of Oral Anatomy, in the qualifying program for foreign trained dentists, and in the graduate and undergraduate Endodontic department. 

He is the past president of the Ontario Society of Endodontists, as well as past president of George Hare Endodontic Study Club. Dr. Da Costa continues to be a member of the OSE, the George Hare Endodontic Study club, the American Association of Endodontists, the Comprehensive Dental Study Club of Hamilton, and the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Da Costa, has provided, and continues to provide, endodontic continuing education courses for general dentists throughout Ontario.

He currently lives in Ancaster with his wife and their pets.


Dr. Diogo Guerreiro

Dr. Diogo Guerreiro graduated from Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde-Sul, Portugal in 2001. He obtained a Diploma in Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Valência, Spain in 2002 and completed his training in Endodontics at the University of Santiago de Compostela where he completed a Masters’s degree program in 2007. From 2007 to 2016 he owned a private practice dedicated to microscopic endodontics in Portugal and served as an assistant professor at the specialty program in endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry – University of Lisbon.
 
In 2016 Dr. Guerreiro moved to the USA where he completed a 3 year MSc in the endodontics program at the University of Michigan and received The Philip W Cohen Memorial Scholarship, an award given to the graduate endodontic resident who most demonstrates dedication to endodontics and commitment to professional excellence.
 
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and licensed as an endodontic specialist by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Dental Association. Dr. Guerreiro is also the author of several articles in endodontic journals and books, he is a reviewer of the International Endodontics Journal and has been lecturing and given hands-on courses in endodontics worldwide.
 
He currently resides in Hamilton with his wife and two sons and enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, scuba diving, and fishing.
